Hi, I'm Jenna! I am a 22 year old college student who goes to Oregon State. I want to be dentist someday (well I'm actually applying to schools right now). I love CrossFit! Okay, that might be an understatment, I absolutely love CrossFit. I have been doing it for just under 6 months and I can't get enough!

I orginially made this blog as a weight loss blog. While I am still on that journey I am not longer focused on the number of the scale but more of just eating right, training hard and knowing that things will fall in to place.

Back squat!

Today at CrossFit we 1RM on back squat. I’m not sure if I have ever done a 1 RM before. I got 185 which I was pretty stoked about! I think that is a pretty good starting place and I’m interested to see how my numbers go up as I get stronger this summer. I’m hoping to focus a lot more on lifting so I think they should go a lot :)

I have gotten behind on posting my workouts but after finding the picture on the left I felt like doing a little side by side comparison.  For the entire decade of my 30’s I had a gym membership, bike, you name it but it was not until my 40’s and finding the crossfit community that provided me with support, motivation and accountability was I able to regain my health.  

Further proof - CrossFit does a body (mind and soul) good.

14 years ago, I was in a medical facility preparing for a routine foot surgery. I was weighed just before heading to the operating room and the scale read 199.9. I was 12 years old. I had no idea what that meant at that age, I just knew I was different from my friends. I never saw a number that low again.
Until this morning. I weighed in at 198.8. It’s been a long 14 years. But after 10 months of extremely hard work, both physical and mental, I’ve not only reached that, I’ve beat it.
